The woman, the cars, the set-pieces, they are all present and as engaging and exciting as ever. It stands on it's on merit and knows what it wants to be. Lighter, yes, but by no means a 'light' film. It molds classic Bond with the brutal reality we come to expect with these newer entries to the franchise. It's incredibly confident, stylish and fun. Spectre is an escapist film, it's more in the realm of a Marvel film than Craig's past efforts. It's gritty, continues to emphasize Bond's vulnerability as a character and put's story at the core of it's foundation.
